After Care Information
Lash After Care
Please ensure you follow this aftercare if you have just had a Lash Lift & Tint or Lash Extensions. Everyone’s natural lash cycle varies massively, however, the average is to lose 2-3 natural lashes a day. This is much more apparent when there is a false lash attached so don’t be alarmed when you notice your lashes shedding it usually goes unnoticed. To give your lash extensions the best chance at lasting please follow the steps bellow, this information will be provided after your treatment and explained to you by your technician.
You can get your lashes wet within the first 24 hours of application, however, adhesive is still setting so avoid hot/steamy water and direct water pressure as lashes are fragile.
It is recommended that you was your lashes daily using a lash shampoo, you can purchase these online or through me in an aftercare kit. Don’t use baby shampoo this is not designed for eyes!
Avoid intense heat (sunbeds, sauna or steam rooms) particularly in the first 48 hours.
Never pick, pull or rub your lashes, this will damage your natural lashes!
Do not curl or perm your lashes.
Comb your lashes twice a day.
Wash your lashes every day using lash shampoo (aftercare kits are available to purchase).
Never put mascara on your extensions, it will affect how they last and you may be refused an infill.
Avoid chlorinated and salt water or tears if possible as this will affect the look and how your lashes last, if you do come into contact wash your lashes as soon as possible.
Don’t use any oil based product on your face.
Contact us immediately if you experience any itching, redness or irritation.
Infills should be done every 2-3 weeks for extensions.
Fresh lash lifts and tints should be done every 6 - 8 weeks.
It is natural to experience the most loss within the first 24 hours as adhesive is still setting. Please contact us with any further questions.
Brow After Care
Try not to get excessively wet as this will make the tint last longer and could manipulate the shape.
No sunbeds, saunas or steam rooms for 48 hours as your skin is freshly waxed.
Do not pick, rub or pull on your brow hair as this may ruin the shape.
A reaction can occur at any time, even if a patch test has been performed.
If a reaction is suspected please inform your eyelash technician immediately to have them removed and seek medical advice.
Keep them looking fresh by having your brows done every 4-6 weeks.
Nail After Care
Do not use your nails as tools.
Knocking your nails can damage or tear off gel/acrylics, which can be painful and drastically affect the health of your nails.
Acrylic or gel nails should not damage the natural nail, unless they are pulled off, therefore it is vital to the health of your nails not to do anything too strenuous.
You should be extra gentle with your gel/acrylic nails for the first 24-48 hours after they are applied.
Avoid hot baths/hot-tubs for the first 48 hours as wet heat can weaken and make the nails lift.
Wash hands immediately after swimming and hot tubs to remove the chlorine which can weaken the nails and fade polish colours.
Always gloves for cleaning and gardening work. Strong detergents such as bleach and cleaning products can discolour the nails.
Use a cuticle oil daily as moisturising your nails will encourage healthy nail growth.
Only use a salon to remove your nails. Removing your nail enhancements at home will certainly damage your natural nail.
Avoid moisturisers, sun cream or tanning products which contain Lanolin or Mineral Oil. These will cause Acrylics to weaken and ‘lift’. Wear gloves for applying tanning lotion.
If there are any signs of lifting or damage to the nails it is important to contact the salon as soon as possible. Water and bacteria can accumulate under lifted nails.
Regular maintenance of infills or professional removal is essential to keep the nail enhancements and natural nails looking immaculate.
